Zouk
Singapore
Lighting and stage design, execution and programming.
Leading the relocation of Zouk Singapore (6th best club in the world – “DJMag.com top 100 Clubs 2016”) to Clarke Quay, LEDsControl was in charge of the Lighting and stage design for its new venue.
We approached this project by constantly asking ourselves how can we create an iconic piece for Zouk.
Our final design features a custom made 7 meters diameter lighting sculpture which resemble an UFO surrounded by 8 perimeter arrow shaped pieces that expand the lighting pattern to the full main room ceiling.
The solution, based on a decagon configuration, incorporates 6 kinetic linear devices that move vertically a new 360° immersive laser system, 850 meters of digital LED RGBW strip and more than 3.500 RGB pixel dots.
In total, we have more that 120 DMX universes only for the LED system. The LED patch was very complex to make, as each one of the perimeter pieces has a specific shape in order to adapt 100% to the space and we needed to select pixel by pixel to recreate the physical shape into the Madrix control software.
We created light patters that result in infinite combinations across a 360° view, able to tell different stories during the night and to adapt to every one of the venue’s needs.
